Woodchop
Exercise Focus:
(Obliques) Twist Pattern

Exercise Instruction:
Stand with feet slightly farther than shoulder width apart. Hold a medicine ball overhead and off to one side as far as possible. Bring the medicine ball down and diagonally to just outside the opposite hip. Keep the torso upright. Without moving the feet lean to the side the medicine ball is moving bending the knee you are leaning to but keeping the back leg straight. Return to the start position and repeat. Switch sides when the set is complete. If you are performing the exercise properly it will appear as though you are chopping wood.
